Fabric Lace and Paper Junk Journal Page Tutorial

Wanting to challenge myself I decided to use a variety of items to make a junk journal page. The result was a Fabric Lace and Paper Junk Journal Page Tutorial. Using Canvas from Canvas Corp Brands as the base, then adding fabric, lace and paper including digital images from Calico Collage – Tea Soiree I made a great junk journal page.

This Fabric Lace and Paper Junk Journal Page Tutorial can be broken up into two pages. I decided that I wanted to have the fabric on one side and the Calico Collage Image on paper for the other side. But these could each be their own page designs.

One of the things I loved about making this project was I got to use scraps of fabric that to some would be trash. Since I used them all over the page it gives it a beautiful vintage touch.

Being able to sew paper is so much fun. It adds another detail that you can’t get unless you sew on paper.

Layering fabric, lace, and paper make me smile. Making Junk Journals is a great way for me to do a variety of techniques and get to us a variety of materials.

The way the lace looks peaking behind the roses is so beautiful. I’m thankful to my neighbor who is moving that gave me a box of lace. Thank you, neighbor.
