There is something that just soothes my soul when playing with paint. Using paper, stamps, paint is a great way to have custom journal cards or postcards. Today I’ll share a Mixed Media Journal Card Tutorial with all of those supplies and a few others. Making cards in this fashion is super quick and easy. Just play with the colors and have fun!

Supplies used for the Mixed Media Journal Card Tutorial.
- Hot Press watercolor paper or heavy cardstock
- Scraps of book pages, dictionary pages etc.
- Acrylic paint in colors of your choice
- Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists
- Old gift card or credit card to spread paint
- Food tray or pallet to hold the paint
- Lace Stencil
- Tim Holtz dot stencil
- Large No-Clog Writing Cap from ScraPerfect
- Best Glue Ever by ScraPerfect
- Brutus Monroe Detail Ink – Raven
- Heat tool
- Fiskars Scissors
A mixed media play session is something I really enjoy. Usually, I can do something in less than 30 minutes or less. These are those no stress, no worry sessions. Just play and have fun.
