International Art Journal Pages Trade Crazy Pages

It is another round of the International Art Journal Pages Trade Crazy Pages. The first round I shared back in January. The swap is hosted by Ayala Art -ilove2paint, she created a Facebook group for those that were playing to communicate with each other. In this round, there are 10 people creating crazy art journal pages.

Here is a video showing how I created my International Art Journal Pages Trade Crazy Pages.

The supplies used for the International Art Journal Pages Trade Crazy Pages.

This time when I made my crazy pages I really stuck to the idea that these were to be backgrounds for other artists to use. By mixing paper, paint, stencils, rubber stamps and more I think I created a cool background that the others can use as a base for their artwork.

What I want everyone to know about this process is to have fun! Try not to overthink when putting down paper, stamps, and paint. Just have fun and play. When we become adults for some reason we stop playing. We forget how much fun it is just to goof off with art supplies not worrying about what we create.

I hope that you are inspired to sit and play for a little while today. Even if it is only for 5 or 10 minutes.  Grab some scrap paper, glue, scissors, and play, Grab some paper, paint and make finger paintings. Just enjoy the moment and don’t “THINK” about what will happen when you are done. Live in the moment.

Make sure that you visit all the other artists in this swap. There are some very creative people.

How to make a Witch ATC

Because of some groups and challenges, I’m sharing this post, How to make a Witch ATC. using things from my stash and a few purchased items I’ll share how to make a witch ATC.

Witch ATC

I’m a member of Paper Crafters United and we are doing a video blog hop and this is week three. The challenge this week is to alter an item. The only rules were to use items from our stash and cannot use, Digital Images or Scrapbook paper.

There is also part an Instagram hop #witchesofigwickhop 15 crafty witches are putting you under a spell with witchy projects.

Then finally I have a trade with Betz Golden for a Halloween ATC and I decided to make a witch ATC for her.

Many times I get asked how do I choose a project to make. Many times it is because of a challenge, swap, blog hop or because I got something new and a design team has a deadline. lol Occasionally I decide because of my mood and create something just because.

For the Witch ATC, I used the following items.
An Old Photo
Paper backing from Brutus Monroe
Cricut Witch Hat cut on black paper #M42634 Paper Doll Dress Up®
Page from an old book
Distressed Ink – Black Soot and Vintage Photo
Halloween stickers
Gold with white star washi tape (found a different one on Amazon)
Aleene’s Tacky Glue
Fiskar Scissors
Paper Trimmer / cutter

Here is a video showing the process of making this Witch ATC.

Once all the items were selected it was very simple to make this ATC. I began by cutting the image of the girl out of the photo. Then I trimmed the paper backing paper from Brutus Monroe. Added a little Black Soot Distressed inks around the edge of the card base.

Applied the gold star washi tape to the Cricut Witch Hat and trimmed sides.

Trimmed the title from the book – The Ghostly Procession to fit on the front of the card. Used Vintage Photo Distressed ink then applied to card base.

Layered the book title, girl and the hat using Aleene’s Tacky Glue.

Adhered spider stickers and the phrase “the Witching Hour is Here” on top. Done!

Being able to use up things I had with a few purchased items feels great! I’m slowly using up my stash of collected things.

I made a video of opening up the happy mail. Pizza Box Swap with Miss Rachel B.

So many goodies in that box! Isn’t it super cute! I love all the little things she made and added to the box. When I was filming there were so many goodies I almost didn’t see the little card she made.

This was so much fun to open!

She even made a card that said: Linda Crazy. lol My husband would agree with her on that! LOL
