Rainbow ATC

Sunday, July 4th, 2010

The following ATC was for the OFB ATC swap group. A group that was formed a year ago where I work. We started with only eight people and there are over 20 people that will participate in the weekly swaps. The theme was Spirituality or Spiritual. I chose to make two cards and the Rainbow ATC is one of the cards.

I used Black Embossing powder, a custom made stamp and water color crayons on water color paper. After the rainbow was painted and dried I used glitter glue/paint over the surface to give it a nice shimmer. Trimmed the card and mounted on a purple ATC card – 2.5 by 3.5 inches.

The following is a video of the whole process.

Please feel free to ask questions. I love sharing my knowledge with others and trying to help as best I can..

Make today a great day!

Horse ATC

Saturday, May 29th, 2010

The following ATC was for the OFB ATC swap group, the theme was Farm Animals and I chose to use Horses as my “farm animals”..

I used a standard size ATC blank to make my card which is 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches. The stamp of the horses is by PSX. I love using water color pencils and a water brush. The clouds and grass stamps are from D.O.T.S. now known as Close to My Heart. I love using Tim Holtz distressed inks for shading. The glitter is a t-shirt paint by tulip, I found that it is very inexpensive and it dries with a very pretty glitter effect on paper.

Although in the video I speed up the water color portion it only took about 10 minutes to make this ATC once I had all of the supplies out on my work table. I think that this could also be a great starting point for other cards as well, could be a great greeting card or book mark.. I hope you enjoy the info I shared here today..

Thanks for stopping by, please feel free to share your thoughts on this ATC. What kind of ATC’s do you make? Who do you like to make ATC’s for?

Blessings

Tropical Paradise ATC

ATC for the OFB ATC group – Theme: Tropical.

I chose to use a stamp set from Studio G that I picked up at Michaels for $1.00 (Cloud Stamp by DOTS/CTMH). Used White cardstock cut to 2.25 by 3.25 inches that was then put on a blue base that is 2.5 by 3.5 inches. I love using Tim Holtz Distressed Inks because these will blend easily. This was a fun and easy card to make.

I like the size of ATC’s, being 2.5 by 3.5 inches makes it easy to finish a work of art in one sitting. I also get to use up items I already have on hand. If you haven’t tried to make an ATC, give it a try, you just might like making ATC’s…
