Today’s post is\u00a0Embossing 52 Christmas Card Thowdown Challenge. This challenge comes from the\u00a0blog 52 Christmas Card Throwdown<\/a>. The challenge this week is Embossing – dry or heat.<\/p>\n

\"Embossing<\/a><\/p>\n

For this project I decided to use a Snow flake stamp from PSX E-1953 as the focal image. The Merry Merry Christmas stamp is from Annette Allen Watkins C628. Embossing folders were used to give texture to the paper, these were from Cuttlebug and The Paper Studio. The silver and the holographic embossing powder are from Ranger. Used versaMark stamp pad as my embossing ink. Stickles are a great way to add glitter dots and that is what I used on the Holly Leaves on the embossed paper. It was an accident that I found the crystal snowflake charms at Hobby Lobby – Christmas by Bead Treasures. I got a ton for less than $6.00. I’ll have these snowflakes for years, or until I get on the\u00a052 Christmas Card Thowdown design team. lol<\/p>\n

Walking down the craft paint isle gets me into trouble. I usually try to avoid that isle because if the paint is on sale I will load up on way too many! How can you resist this paint? It’s usually less than a $1.00 and these come in so many colors! For this card I used Americana Holly Green craft paint. It was the perfect color for the holly leaves.<\/p>\n

\"Embossing<\/a><\/p>\n

The top note die from StampinUp! was used for one of the layers. I really like this die and have used it a lot in the years that I have had it in my stash of tools. \u00a0I’m so thankful that I found the Tim Holtz Vagabond machine on clearance at JoAnn’s a couple of weeks ago. This machine is getting a workout and was well worth the $90 I spent!<\/p>\n

What I like about this card is that the top blue layer could be made over and over and used as a ATC or a gift tag.<\/p>\n
