Today I&#8217;m sharing a\u00a0Winter Mixed Media Postcard Collaboration Tutorial. This is a collaboration that we started this past Spring and for every season we have made a postcard. For this round of postcards I decided to use gel prints I made. I used a 12 x 12 piece of blue cardstock. Then select several gel prints in the same color family. Tear or cut pieces of the gel prints, adhere to the page in what I call frankenpage style. Use your favorite glue or make up a glue pot, sponge inside a container, white glue like Aleene&#8217;s Tacky glue and a little bit of water to thin it out. Cut the masterboard into 4 x 6 postcards. Adhere another piece of cardstock to the back to give the postcard more stability. Apply distress ink, black soot around the edges.<\/p>\n<p>Decorate the postcards using The blue jays from Calico Collage&#8217;s Winter Bliss Digital journal kit. I cut mine using my Silhouette, the images were printed on cardstock. Two of the images I flipped so I could have the birds going in different directions. Apply distress ink, Walnut Stain around the edges of the images. Apply Tattered Angels Glitter Glam Clear all over the blue jay and holly leaf. Spray with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Kraft. Dry with heat tool. Cut a piece of two different colors of eyelash yarn about 6 inches long. Apply glue in a circle in the lower corner. Circle the cheesecloth, eyelash yarn on top of the glue. Apply glue to the upper corner and lay the eyelash yarn on top. Then apply glue to the back of the word or phrase and adhere on top of the eyelash yarn. Mix a little white acrylic paint with water, use a paint brush to flick spots of white on the postcard.
