Having the 12 inches gives you an opportunity to have deeper pockets to hold items. Adhere each pocket piece. Stamp with Shabby Stitches to give a stitched look. Or sew before adhering each pocket piece. Stack the pieces to confirm placement and then adhere the pieces together to create pockets on each level. The vinyl wallpaper will resist a lot of glues and I find that the Best Glue Ever works great for this application.
