Today it is all about Glitter Poinsettias and Reindeer.
I’m on the Brutus Monroe Inspiration team as well as the Canvas Corp Brands Design team. This week I needed to get a project made for Brutus Monroe and decided to make it a two in one.
Using the Sketched Holiday stamp set from Brutus Monroe and several colors of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist I created this Christmas card.
Here is a list of the colors of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist I used today:
Apple
Dijon
Cork
Tattered Leather
Leap Frog
The Tim Holtz Reindeer was die cut from chipboard as well as the Top Note. Then I cut white cardstock at just under 4.25 by 5.5 as my card topper.
The video shows how the colors were applied and how I stamped and applied gold embossing powder.
This was a fun card to make because there are so many options. Swap out the color of glimmer mists and the look of this card changes.
I love having tools that I can use to recreate cards and change things up. Like the Tim Holtz Reindeer die and the Stampin Up Top Note die. It allows me to cut the dies and then make them into any type art project that suits me.
If you have followed me for very long you know how I love to add glitter. Once you have glitter in your home you can never get rid of it, so I embrace this and apply it whenever I can. There are days that I walk out of my home and there will be glitter all over me. I’ll have glitter in my hair and all over my clothes. I just smile and go with it, knowing that if I hug someone I’ll give them a little sparkle.
So don’t worry about having glitter on you the next time you leave your home. Who knows it may be the perfect accessory to brighten your day or for someone else.
