Handmade Paper Making Workshop. During this in person workshop You will have hands on learning how to make paper. Using scraps of paper, shredded paper and more I’ll show how to create the pulp and then the sheets of paper.

Sunday Oct 30th, 10 am.
818 W Main St, Yukon, OK 73099.
Cost $30 per student (you will take home several handmade papers)
What you can do. Over the next few weeks collect papers that you want to recycle and do the following:
- Junk mail – Remove the plastic items and widows from envelopes, only paper
- Scraps from projects
- Other paper that you might have on hand
- If you have a paper shredder, shred the paper and put into containers – bags or what ever you have.
- The night before we make paper, grab some of those paper scraps and soak in water, just enough to cover the paper. Soaking over night helps to make pulp. Only do this if you have shredded the paper first, otherwise we will shred the paper and soak during the workshop.

What to bring to the workshop:
- The paper you collected (shredded and soaked in water overnight), but don’t worry I’ll have paper that everyone can use.
- Dried flowers these can be from your yard or purchased
- Confetti or other small flat items you want to add to the paper.
- Glitter if you want sparkle
- Comfy shoes and clothes. We will be standing a lot. (There will be chairs so you can sit when needed, but this is mostly standing)
- Apron to help keep you dry when working with the wet paper.
- Dish Gloves (the long ones) to protect your hands when we use dyes or glitter etc.
Please bring a large leak proof tote that is about 25 inches wide, for us to use for the day to hold water and pulp. (this will save me from buying 4 totes only to use one day).
