For this tutorial How I Made an ATC with the Theme: White Background & a pretty dress, I created a hand made dress out of fabric.
First I created a paper dress pattern. It was very easy, fold a piece of paper in half and free hand draw a dress shape. Then I fussy cut the shape and used that as a pattern on fabric.
Because the fabric was very thin I decided to use Matte Medium to stiffen the dress. If you have starch you could always use that too. Set the dress aside to dry.
Next, create a base and stamp clouds and grass for the background. This kept it very minimal and I really love how it turned out.
I added a faux apron out of a scrap of white fabric and ribbon on the dress. It just set it off to be super cute!
Using jute I created a clothes line and attached the dress with tiny wooden clothes pins. This was attached to the card base using tape on the back of the card.
Think outside the box and create your own ATC using my ideas as inspiration.
