Do you feel this way: I Love You Play Time? There are days when I walk into my studio and I just want to play.  No pressure to create a certain thing, trying to meet a deadline or a gift. Just a feeling of I Love You Play Time rolling through my mind. As I pull supplies on my work table to see how things come together. Just to enjoy playing with what ever inspires me.

I Love You Play Time

Last night was one of those days to enjoy the moment. The feeling of I Love You Play Time was strong and made me happy. Recently I picked up a few bottles of Tattered Angels sprays and paints. The sprays called to be played with and for some reason a heart was the focus image.

Pulled out a few craft acrylic paints and a paint brush. Playing with the paint I started making a heart shape on an acrylic stamp block. Thinking that maybe I could make a print that would give a blurred water color effect. Instead it was a blob of color.

This was just play and I decided to tell my self I Love You Play Time and kept going. This time I took the paint directly to the paper and doodled a heart with one color of paint. Layered another color of paint and continued doing so until I got the look I liked. The Tattered Angel sprays were also applied with a brush inside the heart. Shimmer in the paint is so pretty. Using the sprays as intended, I applied a few spritz here and there on the card layer. Once all the paint and sprays are applied this has to dry so I set it aside.

If you didn’t know I have a very large stamp collection. Looking through my cling stamps I found a swirl stamp. My drawer of embossing powders was also calling to me, they wanted to come out and play. Thus I decided that I would over stamp the heart with the swirl in gold embossing powder.

The look was coming together. My feelings of I Love You Play Time were filling me with joy. While I had the embossing powder out I went around the edge of the card with an embossing in pad and dipped it into the powder. Embossing each side until the card had a golden glittered edge.

What should the phrase be for this card? Well since the whole theme is I Love You Play Time, why not a I Love you stamp? Using the gold glitter embossing powder I stamped out the saying. Trimmed down and backed with a matching purple scrap.

Pearls added to a card can bring such elegance. It’s a good thing I have a large stash of stick on pearls. Gathering a couple of sizes of pearls, I proceeded to place them on the card.  Don’t forget to add some glimmer mist around the edge of the foundation card, I told myself.

The card is complete and this session of I Love You Play Time was a success. My goal is to have more sessions like this in my future. Make time to just play, with no particular goal in mind. Don’t stress if things don’t turn out the way you want, just continue to play and feel the products in your hands. Before you know it you will also have the feelings, I Love You Play Time.

Thanks for stopping my my blog today.
