Today I want to share my Creative Session of Card Making that I had. It was one of those days that I decided I needed to make a few cards and try a new item. Don’t you love getting new toys to play with in your studio?

The new toy is the Spellbinders S5-195 Nestabilities Whirl About Die Templates. These are Cut, fold and tuck dies. While out and about a while back I picked up this set thinking it would be fun to play with.

But first I had to figure out how to use these dies. Since the dies don’t come with instructions I had to turn to the internet. Well, they have instructions on how to put the dies through a machine, but not on how to assemble the cut paper.

I finally found a video on Spellbinders YouTube channel and this helped me to figure out how to use this set of dies.

Now that I had instructions and understood how the dies worked I was set to have a Creative Session of Card Making.

For these cards, I decided I would test out the the dies on a scrap of paper. It was left over from a project where I sprayed the cardstock with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists. I thought why not use it for testing. If it turned out great then I would have some pretty cards. if not well it was just a scrap of paper.

First I decided that I would need a color on both sides of the paper. So I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists, Cranberry Zing and a small amount of Turquoise Blue. Then I set to cut out the images. The dies cut really well on the thick cardstock.

The fold and tuck method worked great. Since I was having success with the cut images I decided to go ahead and finish out the cards.

I sprayed papers with the same Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists, Cranberry Zing colors. A couple of the cards I stamped on these papers.

Then I layered these up and added a sentiment from the Brutus Monroe Sharon’s Script stamp set using the Brutus Monroe Detail Ink – Raven. Added some bling and called it done. Oh, I forgot to say I also sprayed the ribbon to match. I was looking for a wide ribbon in my stash but only had light blue ribbon. So I though I’ll just spray it to match. Love how it turned out.

I have these cards for sale in my shop, feel free to take a look. If you are looking for custom cards, hit me up. I’ll be glad to work with you. Interested in purchasing the finished cards I make? The cards a usually blank inside and come with a matching envelope.
