If you are like me there are scraps left over from projects. Today I’ll share How to make a Birthday Wishes Card Using Scraps. The focal point is an image from Calico Collage Natures Glory digital journal kit. The Birthday Wishes Stamp is from Brutus Monroe as is the Detail Ink – Raven.

When I clean up after a project I try to see if there is some way I can use up the bits and pieces that are left over. Looking at the Natures Glory image I knew it would be a perfect focal image on a greeting card.

Since I knew I also needed to make a project featuring a Stamp Club set from Brutus Monroe I had several sets on my desk. Flipping through the stamps I saw the Birthday Wishes and an idea formed.

Here is a video showing How to make a Birthday Wishes Card Using Scraps.

Used the Brutus Monroe Detail ink – Raven to stamp the Birthday Wishes from the Brutus Monroe Stamp club set on a scrap of white paper.

Washi tape from my stash added another layer to the card. On my desk was a tied black and white bow and a smaller waxed linen bow. Self-adhesive rhinestones add a touch of bling.

A page torn from an old book also makes a great background. Don’t worry I didn’t destroy a best seller book. It was one that I picked up at a thrift store. Usually, these old books can be found for under a dollar and these have nice old pages that can make great backgrounds on cards.

Next time you are cleaning up your work area take a look at those scraps and see what else can be done. That way you don’t store the scraps, you make a finished project.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today.
