On Saturday, April 2nd, I got the opportunity to go to the 2017 Stamp & Scrapbook Expo in Grapevine Texas. I’m so glad I got to go, and now I want to share a little bit of what I got while at the show.
Here is a video about the 2017 Stamp & Scrapbook Expo in Grapevine Texas:

Seeing the Rinea booth filled with lots of people was so wonderful! I was overjoyed to see the make and take table filled. The owners said that it was a good show for them.
It was a pleasure to visit with Rita Barakat who was doing a demo at Craft Fancy. While talking with her I learned more about the TCW colored gesso and Clear Modeling paste. Of course, I had to buy some of the Clear Modeling paste. I also found a very cool die by Memory Box – Large Ringlets. This is a die I’ve been looking forward to finding, so glad I did at this show!
While walking around the show I happened to see a very nice display of 7gypsies Architextures. When I did I walked into the booth and said, High Five for having a display of Architextures. They gave me a strange look but did follow through with the high five, that would have been awkward if they didn’t huh?
What booth was it that I found all the Architextures? The only booth at 2017 Stamp & Scrapbook Expo in Grapevine Texas? The Crafty Scrapper was the booth and they had a great selection of Architextures to choose from. They also had a piece of my artwork! I was shocked and excited! I asked if it was okay if I took a photo and sent it out on Facebook as quick as I could!
It was very nice to visit with the owners of The Crafty Scrapper, I hope to be invited to teach a workshop soon. I do plan to make a road trip down to visit their store very soon.
Finding bargains is always awesome. When I found Scrap That! I was excited to find awesome prices on things I use in my projects. I picked up pop dots and foam tape at very low prices. Always good to save money.
Flossie Scrapper had a huge selection of steel dies from a few different vendors. Lawn Fawn was one that they carried and I was blessed to find Stiched Scalloped Borders. This will be a fun die for me to use in the future.
Since I’ve been a stamper for a very long time one of my favorite stamp companies is Rubbernecker. I have several of their stamps and I was thrilled that they have added dies to several of their stamps. So I found a die to match one of the floral stamps that I use a lot and I got a new border stamp that I think I’ll start using a lot.
While walking around I recognized a long time stamping friend Audrey that was working at the Local King Rubber Stamp booth. They had some really cool stamps and it was interesting to see how they were showing how to color the images. Check out their site where they have some tutorials.
An unusual product I saw was at the Epiphany Crafts. They were selling a punch and stickers to make your own embellishments. I was interested, but when he cut an image out of thin paper and the edges were not clean I decided that I would do more research. Looks like they have been around for a while and lots of people are complaining that the punch doesn’t work well. So I’m glad I passed on this punch for the time being.
A fun booth I found was Craft Fantastic. There was a free make and take showing how to use their glue and glass domes to make jewelry. The lady giving the demo was fun and made the process enjoyable.
The last booth I visited was Tessler Crafts. This booth had some great stamps and dies to choose from. The gal giving demos showed how the dies could be used to cut aluminum cans I was sold on buying a beautiful butterfly die. This is a die I’m looking forward to using very soon.
Overall, I had a great time at the show, I’m very glad that I got to attend. I’m thankful to my husband for driving and to Rinea for the tickets. Saving every bit of money is important when you live on a budget.
