Time to share Linda’s Studio 2016. It has been a few years since I’ve given a few photos of my studio space. Things have changed over the years. I’m still a bit thrifty on my storage. But I think you might like seeing what my room looks like at the moment.
Recently I ripped up the carpet in the room. It has made it much brighter in there. And doing so has also helped with my allergies. Only one more room in the house with carpet. One day I would like to clean the floors and put down a coat of glitter! Why not there is already glitter through out the house now.
There are tons of stamps in my room. The photos only show a few on display. I have still three other shelves of stamps not photographed. This doesn’t include a few boxes of stamps either! One day I will have a catalog of all of my stamps but for now I just look through them when I want something.
Most of the stamps are behind me when I work. There are categories of stamps. Usually by themes – Birthday, Friendship, guy stamps, girly stamps, flower stamps. For the most part I know where to look for stamps as I keep them in the same spot. Occasionally I move them and it will take a month for me to remember where I put them.
With in reach of my desk I have a few tools that I use most often, paper cutters are stored below my desk. Some of my favorite stamps are on display beside me. There is a lot of cardstock within reach.
Just in front of me is a 32 inch color Television that I have hooked to a computer. I can get online and check websites or I can switch over and watch movies on various apps like Netflix or Amazon Prime with my Roku TV. There is even a stereo system connected so I have awesome sound.
One of my shelves holds scraps of paper. These scraps are cataloged by color. When I cut paper and have a few bits left over I put them in a bin next to my desk. Once the bin starts to over flow, or if I’m having a creative block I’ll go through the bin. I will stack like colors together. A pile of green, a pile of blue etc. Then I’ll put these piles of paper into 12 by 12 pockets or folders and place them on the shelf.
For the most part my room is very functional. It is a 11 by 14 foot room, and full from floor to ceiling. There are days when I wish it could be a beautiful show room. And then I realize I would miss all the yummy goodies I have collected!
I hope you like seeing a small update of Linda’s Studio 2016. When I add a few more lights I’ll take a video.
Thanks for stopping by today. Make sure to come back, you don’t want to miss out of the wonderful creations that are made in Linda’s Studio 2016.
