Day 11 of 12 Days of Junk Journal Gift Ideas 2020 – Gift Card Holder. Today is all about a gift card holder. I decided to use some scraps and a book page to create mine. Super easy and once you create one you will find these are so cute and fun you’ll make up a bunch.

Supplies to create Day 11 of 12 Days of Junk Journal Gift Ideas Gift Card Holder

Today is the 11th of 12 Days of Junk Journal Gift Ideas 2020 – Gift Card Holder. Linda uses some scraps and a book page to create hers. Once you create one you will find these are so cute and fun you’ll make up a bunch!

Starting out select a book page or bible page scrap, fold in half then using Aleene’s tacky glue to adhere together. It is a good idea to use a bone folder to flatten and spread the glue evenly.

Using a gift card as a template cut the page to fit the gift card, keep in mind most gift cards will measure 2 1/4″ tall x 3 1/4 wide so allow extra on your measurements so the card will slide in easily.

Using a fabric scrap piece, and then applying Aleene’s tacky glue to the front upper flap and as well as the lower flap Linda used a scrap of colored paper. She used jet black archival ink and stamped the tulip twine rubber stamp.

Finding a piece of scrap paper with black archival ink stamps out the Thinking of you sentiment stamp. She then goes to the sewing machine, sewing around the perimeter and then the sentiment area, as well as the bottom front lower half and up the sides.

You can now place your gift card inside and take a thin ribbon and tie with a pretty bow.

Creating your own gift card holders personalizes them! Instead of buying your gift card holders have you ever made your own?
