See the Hello Spring Greeting Card I made on the Brutus Monroe blog today. Used the New Roses Background stamp from Brutus Monroe and last years Hello Spring. Also used an image from Calico Collage Simply Spring digital images.

Hello Spring Greeting Card

Loved making this card. I’m so ready for Spring to arrive. We have fluctuating weather here in Oklahoma. One day it is freezing the next it is 70 degrees.  Soon we will be able to say Hello Spring for good!

Stamped the Roses Background and then sprayed with one of my favorite products: Glimmer Mists.

Using red card stock and the Quilted Stars Stencil with A Christmas Dream Golden Ornament Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. 

Taking a stencil from the September Stencil Club and Tinsel from the Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist A Christmas Dream set on the other page.

Placing the November Stencil Club and Christmas Berry which is in the A Christmas Dream Subscription Box to create the below pages

Also in the November Stencil Club is a snowflake stencil. Used the Blue Toy Soldier from the A Christmas Dream Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Set.

Taking a green card stock paper which is in the A Christmas Dream Subscription Box that has been sprayed with a lighter Holly Leaf green from the Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist set.

In the A Christmas Dream Subscription Box are definitions that are printed. Try using them with a piece of Christmas Scrap of fabric as a border.

The  handmade  envelope  as  well  as  more  printed  pieces  to  use  for  journal  page,Think about creating a envelope, use your stamps to give the look as if it has been sent through the mail.

When I thought about this prompt I decided that I would also make a bookmark to give to the person I would write about. Why not give a little gift to the person that you are so thankful for their help in your life?

When I sat down and thought about the Day 1 of 30 days of Thankful 2018 prompt I thought about one person that has done so much for me over the years. That person is my mother-in-law. She has been a cheerleader and supporter of me on many endeavors and I’m so grateful for all the support she has given me.

Therefore, I decided that I would make a bookmark that she could use and be reminded that I’m thankful to have her in my life. Why not make a small card, bookmark or tag for the person that you wish to thank.

Remember, the idea is to thank them, no need to go overboard with the gift. Just let them know how much you care.

Mounting Rubber Stamps Tutorial

Sharing a Mounting Rubber Stamps Tutorial for those who have asked. When you get a new sheet of red rubber it may not be easy to understand how to mount them. Today I’ll show you how to mount the stamps using EZMount Foam from Crafter’s Companion.

Supplies used for this Mounting Rubber Stamps Tutorial.

When cling stamps won’t stick, it makes these hard to use. Try washing the stamp with a mild soap and water. Hand soap usually will work and clean up any dirt that is preventing the stamp from sticking to a mount.

Mounting Rubber Stamps TutorialIf after washing the stamp it still won’t stick try using a small amount of the Best Glue Ever and a paintbrush on the cling side of the stamp.

Mounting Rubber Stamps TutorialUse a small amount and use a paintbrush to spread the glue in a thin layer. Lay the stamp aside to air dry.

Mounting Rubber Stamps TutorialThe stamp will have a clear shiny look to it when the glue is dry. Place on your mounting choice and stamp away.

Got a sheet of rubber stamps that you want to mount? Check out the video, Mounting Rubber Stamps Tutorial.

In the video, I show how to cut the stamps apart using Fiskars Scissors coated with the Best Cleaner Ever. When cutting yours stamps make sure that you cut straight up and down. If you angle the blade of your scissors you could undercut your stamp mount and you won’t have a good impression.

Keep trimming the excess away until the image is clear of extra rubber. Mounting stamps is easier than you think, especially if using a temporary mounting system.
