On Brutus Monroe, Be Unique Bulldog Greeting card I made with a cool watercolor background. I love how this card turned out. There is so much personality in that little bulldog. Don’t you want to rock with him?

This background just brings out the personality in the bulldog. I love being able to create new backgrounds with tools I already have don’t you? Having all the wonderful inks pads from Brutus Monroe on hand helped to make this background.

This can be used for more than today’s Be Unique Bulldog Greeting card.  Think about putting flowers over the top. Choosing a fun saying. There are so many options just keep playing, you will get so many beautiful backgrounds to use.

The technique for Be Unique Bulldog Greeting card.

On a craft mat smash, a swipe of Rouge, Zest and Sea with a little space between. Spritz these with water.

Take a piece of watercolor paper and swipe through the colors. Dry with a heat tool for a moment. Apply more color as wanted drying between swipes so that the colors don’t muddy. Love how every time this technique is done it is different.

Stamp the Bulldog and Be Unique phrase with Brutus Monroe Detail Ink – Raven. Edge the card with Detail Ink – Raven.

Mount card top with Aleenes Tacky Glue, to a standard A2 card. If the top is still damp lay a large acrylic block on top of the card until it dries. This will keep it from curling.

This is a super simple card that looks like it took forever to make. I just love playing with this background and seeing how the different colors look behind the stamped images.
