So yesterday was a busy day. I have a Plethora of Mother’s Day Cards Made. Since Mother’s Day is just around the corner, Sunday, May 14, I thought I should get busy and make a few cards.

For these cards I decided to use some papers I had in my stash. You know the ones, those that got purchased for some reason or another. Or in my case there was a huge stack of papers given to me.

Thumbing through the papers I found a couple of scrapbook papers that I thought would be beautiful backgrounds.

Once the background papers were selected I think started looking through the other papers and bits. I have 12 in. x 12 in. scrapbook folders that hold scraps of paper. Having these folders helped in the making of all of these cards.

One of my friends came over to craft with me and she let me borrow a really pretty die set. I’m so glad that she came over. I’ve been using these dies like crazy. lol

Here are the Plethora of Mother’s Day Cards Made in this card making session.

The first card features Brutus Monroe – Bunny Kisses set. This was stamped with Brutus Monroe Detail Ink – Raven. I also used embroidery floss to tie to the card. A little sparkle was added using Tulip Glitter Glue. The flowers are from Prima.

The first card I used the sketch from Paper Play Sketches #38

Current Sketch:

It was fun to have a challenge while making this card. It gave me ideas on how to use up small bits of paper I have had for a while now. I was also able to use a couple of embossing folders to get added texture to this card.
Since I got the card finished I do plan to enter it in the challenge. Who knows maybe someone will like seeing it and be inspired.
The other card designs I didn’t use a sketch I just decided to make what felt good to me. Another friend gave me a large stack of white paper doilies. So I’ve been trying to use these when possible.

Love the background paper from K&Co. I think this one turned out so pretty.
This butterfly card I thought was perfect for the Color Challenge at Paper Play Sketches and Color Challenges.

When I saw this butterfly paper I knew I had to use the butterfly die on the card too.
