It has been a few days since I did the Gel Press Play Time and now it is time to use the Gel Prints into Junk Journal Elements. This project a was also prompted because I’m in a blog hop #thanks4watchingart on YouTube with a lot of very talented artists. Make sure that you visit each one to see their projects.
Using my new Gemini cutter from Crafters Companion with their dies I was able to sit and play for a while and turn the Gel Prints into Junk Journal Elements. I love how intricate the dies cut even on thin papers. Too many times in the past I would cut a die and it wouldn’t do a good job, but the Gemini cuts beautifully every time.
Here is a video showing how I took the Gel Prints into Junk Journal Elements.
Supplies used today in this project Gel Prints into Junk Journal Elements.
- Gemini Cutter from Crafters Companion
- Parisian – Die’sire Fancy Edge’ables
- Aleene’s Tacky Glue
- Gel Printed pages – I had book pages and some notebook paper that was printed.
- Fiskars Scissors
- Tag Punch by Paper Studios
My method was to use the pages I had with the dies from Crafters Companion in the Gemini and see how it turned out. Each print is unique, even when I used the same colors no two were the same, similar but not the same. I love this idea of making a bunch of prints and then using these for junk journal elements. It was fun to use the Gel Prints into Junk Journal Elements.
Before you throw out those old papers and pages take a look at my Gel Press Play Time post and see if you can then turn these Gel Prints into Junk Journal Elements like I did.
Once you get started you won’t know when to stop. lol Have fun making your own.
