To begin creating the first of the Day 3 Triple Pockets for Junk Journals, select a sheet of scrapbook paper or other paper that is about 5.25 x 12 inches long. Having the 12 inches gives you an opportunity to have deeper pockets to hold items. Accordian fold the paper to create pockets, refer to the video.
Apply distress inks on the edges of the triple pocket. Adhere each pocket piece. Stamp with Shabby Stitches to give a stitched look. Or sew before adhering each pocket piece. Attach to desired page.
For the second of the Day 3 Triple Pockets for Junk Journals, select three scraps of paper in different heights. I like there to be about .50 to .75 inches in height difference between the pieces.
Apply distress ink around the edges of all three pieces of paper. Stack the pieces to confirm placement and then adhere the pieces together to create pockets on each level. Stamp any of the layers with Shabby Stitches to give a sewn look or before adhering sew with a sewing machine.
Apply Best Glue Ever by ScraPerfect to the back of the pocket and allow to air dry. The vinyl wallpaper will resist a lot of glues and I find that the Best Glue Ever works great for this application. Once the glue is clear it is now ready to attach to the wallpaper.
See how easy these two different types of triple pockets are to make? Once you get started making them you will soon have a huge selection to choose from, or to bundle up and give as a gift to a friend.
What supplies do you have on hand that would work for these Triple Pockets? Have fun creating. 🙂
