Sharing an Over the Page Pocket Tutorial with you today. Using different sizes of paper I’ll show how to create a multi pocket that wraps around a page. This is the March 2022 challenge inside the Friendly Junk Journal People Facebook group.

Supplies used for the Over the Page Pocket Tutorial.
Use the Over the Page Pocket Tutorial to create pockets for your journal. Adding pockets in the middle of a journal page reduces the bulk that is usually at the bottom of a page.

This is one of those projects where you can use up your scraps to create a unique pocket.

The foundation page is from the Wild and Free Pattern Papers. I drew the design and shared it with Norella of Calico Collage and she used it to create papers for the Wild and Free Collection.

The Swirl Note Card stamp was used on top of one of the Wild and Free Pattern Papers. Using the stamp in this manner allows a beautiful pattern to be displayed behind the stamp.

Create cute tags with a large stamp. Lay tags side by side and center the stamp where the tags meet. Stamping like this will put half of the stamp on each tag.

Save the strips cut from papers, these are great to stamp words.

For this over the page pocket another page from the Wild and Free Pattern Papers was used along with a book page. Layered on top is a doily that was sprayed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists. Another sprayed book page is layered under the Large Dream Catcher Stamp.

The Connected Curl stamp makes a great border on journal cards. Stamp around the outside edge, let the images overlap.

The foundation page is a gel print that I turn into a digital download. Wild 2 Gel Print Digital Download has nine different colorways of the same gel print. I thought it looked great as a foundation page.
