Welcome friends. Today I’m Making Gingerbread Men. Working on a Christmas Junk Journal and wanted some handmade elements added. This is where I use stamps I’ve had for years and some bling that I had leftover from another project.
When I found the gingerbread man stamp in my stash, I knew I wanted to make these to add to the journal.
Items used for Making Gingerbread Men.
ScraPerfect – Best Glue Ever
Colored Pencils
Stamped image on Kraft paper with Brutus Monroe Detail ink – Raven
Flat back rhinestone
Distress ink – Vintage Photo
Blending tool
Here is a video showing Making Gingerbread Men.
For this project Making Gingerbread Men, I started with stamping the gingerbread men in Brutus Monroe Detail ink – Raven onto Kraft colored cardstock. Then I used my scissors to fussy cut the gingerbread men.
Choosing a few color of pencils I then colored in the areas I wanted on the gingerbread men. Then I used Distress Ink – Vintage Photo around the edges.
Sometimes it is hard to find the right glue to adhere items. The Best Glue Ever is perfect for these rhinestones as it doesn’t take very much and it holds quickly. Other glues the rhinestone would pop off the project. I just applied a small dot on the back of the rhinestone, used the tip of the glue to spread and then attached to the gingerbread men.
My hope is that I have inspired you to look differently at those items you have in your stash and use them in projects.
