Decorating a guest check for a journaling card is really simple and fast. Since I had the Rose Post Card stamp it made the design easy. Take a look around for a postcard stamp that you could use for your project. Even a plain postcard image and then overstamped with flowers would look wonderful.

When I learned about the Fantastix I was opened up to another way to color images with ink pads that I own. I love the soft color that comes out from using the Fantastix. These tools work great with the Brutus Monroe Surface ink and the Tim Holtz Distress ink.

Blending the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink really helps give the guest check a vintage feel. It is easy to add a little or a lot to get the look you want.

Once all the coloring has been done I then love using Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists over the guest check. The Precious Metal color has a soft pearl color that is very romantic to me.
