Select an oversized postcard or other scrap of cardstock paper and cover with book pages. Trim to 3 x 6 inches. Apply a thin coat of ivory paint to one side to create a writing space. Dry the paint with a heat tool or allow it to dry naturally. Apply Walnut Stain with blending tool around the edges on both sides of the card.
Using one of the Artistic Stencils and Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists add color to the journal card base. Dry with heat tool.
Stamp Lisa, Bella Rose twice and the small butterfly with Archival ink on white cardstock. Fussy cut out all the images. Apply distress ink, Walnut Stain around the edges.
Using Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists watercolor the images. Apply distress inks using Fantastix to Lisa’s Face.
Layer the stamped images on the journal card base using Aleene’s Tacky Glue. Add fibers under one of the Bella Rose images.
Adhere words or word phrase on the roses.
That is all done! What I love about this Stenciled and Stamped Journal Card Tutorial is that you can use the same steps with other stencils and images and get a unique look for each journal card.
