In this tutorial I’ll show you how to make three simple beach themed journal cards using rubber stamps, Distress Oxide inks and Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists. Taking a scrap of paper Linda used distress oxides in Mermaid Lagoon, Bundled Sage, and Evergreen Bough. She then used the Fern Rubber Stamp around the edges and added a sentiment from White on Black Inspirational Words.
For this beach themed journal card, Linda has used the Palm Tree Rubber Stamp embossed with black embossing powder on a white journal card. She then used the Fossilized Amber with Carved Pumpkin, and Bundled Sage distress oxides for the background.
Here you can see the final results of the beach themed journal cards that Linda created. It doesn’t take a long time to create simple journal cards using scraps of paper and a few rubber stamps, as well as items you may have on hand.
Grab those scraps and whatever items you may have to create these Beach Themed Journal cards to use in your journals. Think about being at the beach and let that inspire you to create your journal cards. How do you think you would create yours?
