Sharing Prompt 1 Art 52 Cafe Cards #52cafecards from the Maremi’s Creative Cafe. The idea is to create ATC’s every week of the year. Marta has started a couple of weeks late, but she has given us prompts and a place to post our work.

Prompt 1 Art 52 Cafe Cards

The first prompt is Art. For my first project I decided to use:

Calico Collage Digital Image from Romantic Lovers
Tim Holtz stamp – Artist
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists – Vintage Pink and Sapphire
Scrap of a die cut
Tim Holtz disress ink Brushed Corduroy
Brutus Monroe Detail ink – Raven
Paper Studios – flat back pearls
Black and white cardstock
Jute bow
White Craft glue

Prompt 1 Art 52 Cafe Cards was a fun project to make. Getting back into making ATC’s is something I’ve been wanting to do for a while and having this challenge is the perfect way for me to do so.

Used lots of layers on this card. The finished card is thick and sturdy. When I use lots of layers like this I love how the card feels in my hand. It has substance and feels like a piece of art, not just a stack of papers.

Using glimmer mists over the image gives a soft shimmer and the couple glows. It’s difficult to see in photos, but in person it is beautiful.

Here is a video of the process.

Wonder why I paired the word Artist with the Romantic Couple? Well just look at how they are kissing. Don’t you think someone is an Artist at romance?
