Today I’m sharing How to make a Christmas Junk Journal Page. Using digital images from TsunamiRose – Christmas List Ephemera Pack, vintage hymnal page, ribbon and more.

Christmas Junk Journal Page

Each month the Friendly Junk Journal People Facebook group has a page swap. It is Junk Journal Page Swap. The requirements; the page has to be 8 x 10.5 inches and when folded measures 8 x 5.25 inches. Each page should have a pocket and a journal card/tag included.

So other than sticking with the theme we had a lot of choices on how we can make our pages. This month it is a Christmas/Winter theme. I decided this would be a perfect project for the TsunamiRose kit Christmas List Ephemera Pack. Love the Vintage images, there are lots to choose from in the kit so you can mix it up too.

Here is a video of How to make a Christmas Junk Journal Page.

When I made this Christmas Junk Journal Page I really did want to try some new things. I also wanted to make sure that I used some junk from my stash. This journal met my goals.

Something new I used in a Junk Journal Page was sewing on wide ribbon and making a pocket with it the ribbon. Someone shared a photo of something they had made with a ribbon and it sparked my creativity. I’ll share the actual project later on as I want to do another tutorial. 😉

Being able to use up some of my stash is so wonderful. I was able to use that red ribbon that I’ve had for so, so very long. The wide Christmas Poinsettia ribbon has also been in my stash for a while.

Wander around your studio and look at things differently.  There maybe be a cool something that you can use, the ribbon, the tule, and lace from another project. Have fun using it differently.

My Christmas Junk Journal Page ended up with 4 pockets and one tuck spot. There are eight different pieces to write or add memories to as well. Looking at it, now I want to keep it, but I signed up for the swap so I guess I’ll just have to make a second one if I want my own.

Make sure to check out the Friendly Junk Journal People Facebook group. Of course, you are welcome to join the Friendly Junk Journal People Facebook group. The group is growing daily and we are a friendly group willing to help each other and encourage each other.

Here is my shop, I have a lot of items uploaded and add more weekly.

My hope is that I have inspired you to look at those papers in your stash and make your own junk journal.
