Day 31 of #useitupjuly, last one! Today I’m sharing an Altered Handbag Tutorial. Years ago I purchased a white coach purse with brown leather accents. This purse was one of my favorites, but it started to get dingy! So I stopped carrying it and it stayed in my closet. It is now time to transform this handbag so I can use it again.

Begin the Altered Handbag Tutorial by selecting a few colors of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists. I found that the darker the color the better it dyed the fabric. Use a paintbrush that is damp with water and dip into the color one at a time and apply it to the fabric.

Once the fabric gets wet the color will absorb better. Keep applying color until the bag has the color you want.

Let the bag dry and then apply Scotch Guard and allow to dry.
