Loaded Library Pocket Tutorial Day 8 of 12 Days of Junk Journal Gift Ideas. This is one of those great little gifts that you can add goodies into the pocket and then give as a gift. The recipient can then use the goodies in the pocket for journaling, or bookmarks and more.

Supplies used for the Loaded Library Pocket Tutorial.

This Loaded Library Pocket Tutorial is really super easy. Grab some scraps and follow along. Begin with a scrap of cardstock measuring 4 x 5.75 inches and a second scrap at 2.5 x 5.75. This will become the Library Pocket base.

Take the 2.5 x 5.75 piece and on the 5.75 edge fold up about .25 of an inch. Then slip the larger piece into the fold you just created. Next, fold the sides around the 4 x 5.75 cardstock piece. This will be the pocket. Decorate the pocket now or after you glue it. I added a scrap of gel print and a book page with a little bit of sewing. Adhere the pocket in place. Grab another scrap of text weight paper and adhere it over the back side to smooth out the pocket back.

Cut a piece of cardstock just under 4 x 5.75 inches, decorate with a lined journal card or notebook paper. Next, adhere as a pocket on the backside of the library pocket.

The base is made! Add some embellishments to the front, like the heart or words. Now load it up with journal cards, altered paperclips and even a little paper sack filled with goodies.
