Finished a new junk journal. Gypsy Soul Junk Journal made using Calico Collage Gypsy Love digital images, Lots of lace, Velvet fabric for the cover, Stamping throughout and more.
This Gypsy Soul Junk Journal measures 6.5 in. x 9.5 in. with a 1.25 in. spine. There are three signatures with 8 pages in each for a grand total of 96 pages. The sheets are 8.5 x 11 inch folded in half.

For the pages I used the sheets I line my Tattered Angels Spray box. So there is lots of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists on all of the pages.
The lined pages are a linen paper that I printed lines on each side. I like having lines to write in my journals.
Lots of washi tape used on several elements in this Gypsy Soul Junk Journal.
I even sewed lace on several of the journal cards. Then added distressed Inks to add more color. You will find that I like bright colors in my junk journals. I’m not one for the old paper look. I want color.
Lots of sewn elements in this journal. The most I’ve done so far in a junk journal. I like using the pages out of an old book to add pockets, tuck spots etc. It is fun to figure out new ways to make a cool tuck spot in these junk journals.
When I work on a junk journal I try to use as many scraps of paper from my stash. For example, the journal cards throughout this journal are all from scraps. Some may not have made it for the final cut in the original project so these went into my scrap bin.
Many people made fun of me for keeping all of these scraps, I even sort these by color. But now I’m able to use these up in Junk Journals. The funkier the piece the better.
Recently a friend gave me a box of fabric. I decided to dig through it and see what I found. I didn’t get far into the box and I found a beautiful piece of velvet. This is perfect for the cover. Don’t you just love the feel of velvet?
Making these junk journals gives me so much joy. I love to flip through and look at all the elements. I hope that you enjoy seeing what I create too.
