Getting the Crazy Pages Swap has been so much fun. There are so many talented artists in this swap. Now I’m taking all those amazing works of art and turning it into a Crazy Pages Junk Journal. Using as much of the items that came in the mail and a few things from my stash I create a super cool Crazy Pages Junk Journal.
Video showing how I bound the Crazy Pages Junk Journal and a view of the pages I put together.
The idea behind these crazy pages was for us to decorate the pages when we got them in our possession. I decided that I would turn mine into a junk journal that can be further embellished.
The Crazy Pages Junk Journal measures 9.25 x 6.25 and has a total of 32 pages. The cover of the Crazy Pages Junk Journal is a watercolor paper that I stamped and then sprayed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists through one of my stencils. Next, I sewed around one of the Crazy Pages to then attach to the cover and leave room for a pocket.
Used several of the envelopes that the Crazy Pages were mailed inside. By using the envelops those became the base page to attach the Crazy Pages. And it kept the old envelopes out of the trash. 🙂
Some of the envelopes I applied acrylic craft paint, some got Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists. It all depended upon my mood and what was on my desk at the time. lol
Using my sewing machine to add design touches or to attach elements just makes me happy.
Now that the journal has been made I’m looking forward to adding more artwork. 🙂
The different sizes of the pages really make this Crazy Pages Junk Journal unique. While some of the pages might have been duplicated slightly no two junk journals would be 100% alike as we all have different ways to create journals.
Make sure to look at the other Crazy Pages that have been posted on YouTube. There are some who even made a Crazy Pages Junk Journal like I did.
Make sure to check out the Friendly Junk Journal People Facebook group. Of course, you are welcome to join the Friendly Junk Journal People Facebook group. The group is growing daily and we are a friendly group willing to help each other and encourage each other.
Interested in any of the journals I created? Please feel free to contact me through my Facebook Page. Here is my shop, I have a lot of items uploaded and add more weekly.
My hope is that I have inspired you to look at those papers in your stash and make your own junk journal.
