Continuing with sharing how to use stamps in your journal cards, thanks to Naomi from FJJP for this prompt. Today I’m sharing a Stamped Altered Paperclip. Using book pages, stamps, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists, Distress Ink, Brutus Monroe Detail ink and ScraPerfect Best Glue ever I show how to make a super easy Stamped Altered Paperclip.

Supply List for the Stamped Altered Paperclip.

Since I already had the supplies gathered from making Stamped Journal Cards it was easy to begin making the Stamped Altered Paperclip. Using a page out of an old dictionary I cut it down to the size I want the top of the Stamped Altered Paperclip.

Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists became the ink for a block stamp that was applied to the dictionary page. Stamp the Bird in Brutus Monroe Detail Ink. Apply distress ink to the flower image and stamp on the dictionary page. Use Brutus Monroe Detail ink and stamp the postmark. Adhere the dictionary page to a scrap of cardstock to help make this sturdy as it will become a pocket.

Fold the book page in half and half again. This is the base for the Stamped Altered Paperclip. Apply the Best Glue Ever on the first fold. Add a paperclip to the top of the page and glue shut.

Place the dictionary page pocket on the folded book page, adhering three sides leaving one side open for a journal card. Apply Best Glue Ever to the word after it has been distressed. Tuck the journal card into the pocket. An alternate look is to sew around the dictionary page before placing it on the book page base.
