This Red Tag Tutorial was prompted by a swap with some friends. I thought why not make a tutorial for each tag I create. I had all the supplies on my desk after finishing the Red Junk Journal Page Tutorial and thought why not use what I have to make a couple of pretty tags.

Supplies used for the Red Tag Tutorial.
- Red Cardstock
- Scraps of Fabric – two inch square
- Book Pages
- Mulberry paper
- Distress Ink, Walnut Stain
- Blending Tool
- Words
- Sewing Machine
- Organ 80/12 Needles
- Superior Threads 11401-625 Bottom Line Polyester Thread, 1420 yd, Black
- Crop-a-dial eyelet setter and hole punch
- Tiny heart punched from Red Glitter Paper
- Fiskars Scissors
- Sharpie Pen
- No-Clog Writing Cap by ScraPerfect
- Best Glue Ever by ScraPerfect
- The Paper Studio Tag Punch
To start this Red Tag Tutorial, cut red cardstock at 4 x 6 inches. Cut scraps of red mulberry paper and a book page at 3 x 4 inches. Cut a piece of fabric at two inches square. Layer the Mulberry paper, book page and fabric square and sew together. Sewing the top edge of the pocket and around the fabric square.
Apply Walnut Stain Distress Ink to the tag base. Layer the pocket on top of the tag and sew around the entire tag attaching the pocket to the tag.
Select words and apply Walnut Stain Distress ink around the edges. Adhere the words with the No-Clog Writing Cap and Best Glue Ever by ScraPerfect. Punch a tiny heart out of glitter cardstock and adhere to the tag.
Cut a strip of fabric at 1 inch by about 8 inches long. Punch a hole in the top of the tag with the Crop-a-Dial eyelet setter and hole punch. Tie the fabric through the hole on the top of the tag.
Use the Paper Studios Tag punch on a scrap of red paper and create a tag. Use another strip of 1 inch by about 6 inches of red fabric for the tie on the tag.
