Mixed Media Flowish Junk Journal, Day 1 of 12 days of Junk journal Gift Tutorials. Using Gel Prints, Mixed Media Masterboards and more I share a flowish junk journal that would make a great gift.
What is a flowish junk journal you may ask? This is a grouping of papers and items that can be used in a junk journal or to make a junk journal. The binding is temporary so that the items can be removed and used.

For this Mixed Media Flowish Junk Journal, gel print pages and other mixed media pages would be a great way to add color. Begin by selecting papers to become the pages of the journal.
The cover is made from gel prints and a mixed media background page. I decided to make this in an oversized Frankenpages style.
The Gel print pages are so colorful that I wanted to add beautiful things that someone could use along with those. That is why I made a few journal cards using colorful mixed media pages.
Washi tape is a great way to add elements that can be removed.
Creative folding of paper makes pockets to hold items too.
Paperclips also come in handy.
The Gel prints are so colorful.
Fold a napkin over the page to add another pop of color. The Altered paperclip helps keep it in place but isn’t necessary. Attach a small bag with washi tape. Add items however you like to your flowish journal.
Layering the doily over the gel print and then adding another smaller gel print.
The corner pocket and the library style pocket were both made from gel prints. Added stitches to add more interest along with stamping.
Altered paperclip made out of gel prints. I love the pop of color. The corner on the right is a scrap from a mixed media project and it is attached with washi tape. In the pocket is a Calico Collage digital image that looks like a bingo card.
It feels good to use the orphan junk journal pages in this Mixed Media Flowish Junk Journal.
This was a fun Mixed Media Flowish Junk Journal to make. It felt good to make a journal with the mixed media backgrounds and gel prints. I love the colors and how fun this journal looks.
