Pink Tassel Tutorial, Day 10 of 12 days of Junk Journal Gift Ideas. Grab some ribbons, fibers, yarn, and fabric to make a super cute tassel to attach to a journal or even make into a keychain bobble.
Pink Tassel Tutorial Video.
Supplies used for the Pink Tassel Tutorial.
- Scraps of Fibers, ribbons, fabric, and yarns
- Large hole bead
- Cone shaped bead cap
- Bulb Pin
- Scissors
- Waxed Linen thread or embroidery floss
You will find that this Pink Tassel Tutorial is super easy! Begin with selecting some fibers, fabric, threads, yarn anything that appeals to you for this tassel. I had about 8 to 10 pieces in my tassel.
By mixing, fabric, fibers, and more the tassel will look like you used what inspired you and had on hand. I like that the pieces can be of the same color family but be completely different items.
Tearing fabric gives the piece that shabby look that I find so cute. Don’t you agree?
Grab a piece of waxed linen thread or cord, pick up the fibers and find the center of the stack. Tie the thread around all the fibers.
Fold the fibers in half with the thread at the top. Wrap around the top portion of the tassel with another piece of thread, Tie a knot, wrap and tie a few more times. You can stop here if you like or add a bead cap and bead to the top as I did.
Tie a not at the top of the tassel about a 1/2 above the top. This is used to attach the tassel to an item. Use a Bulb pin or a safety pin or even a jump ring.
Told you that this Pink Tassel Tutorial was super easy. Once you get going there will be a pile of tassels on your work desk. 🙂
