During the December 5th live stream Linda demonstrated how to create several gel prints. Using acrylic paints, book and copy paper, she then turned them into a junk journal page.
For the background on this mixed media journal page, Linda used the Circle Stencil to create the circles, along with Ironworks lg rubber stamp and Calico Collage Digital images.
Using digital images from Calico Collage, Romantic Swirl rubber stamp and more mixed media page from her stash, Linda created a journal card during the live stream. For added interest to any page, try using any of your rubber stamps to the outline edges for your journal pages.
I love the pink, gold and purple paints used on this mixed media junk journal page. The bright flowers and digital images are perfectly matched. Linda lightly sprayed the page with Tattered Angels Glimmer mist to add sparkle.
Take strips of your gel prints and mixed media pages, cut them into strips and then use them as added interest to your journal cards.
Create segmented areas with your washi tape and rubber stamps, along with words. You could also add digital images like the ones you see here by Calico Collage.
Get out those paints, rubber stamps and create some of your own mixed media pages. What colors do you enjoy using for yours?
