Check your stash for large scraps of paper, along with book pages that you can layer onto your page. Here you can see how Linda used two different colors of scraps with book pages to add contrast to her page.
Adding scraps of fabrics also creates a great mixed media look to any journal page. Here you can see how Linda used a sari silk piece of fabric from Dust Fairies and then added washi tape to her page.
