National Inspire your Heart with Art is Jan 31st and I decided to create a card. Art with Heart – A greeting card was the result.
Pulling the supplies and thinking about Valentines Day just around the corner made me choose the items I used.
The background paper is the Black Patchwork on White from Canvas Crop Brands. This patterned paper is great for making mats for photos or in my case great for cards.
Digital download image that was used for this project is from Calico Collage – Vintage Valentines. I knew that the little cherub with the fan would be perfect inside the die cut lace heart (unknown brand).
Since I have recently become a member of the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog I’m using my Cricut more often. Today I used the Home Decor cartridge and cut the word Love M3D72F out of red card stock.
Some of the tools I like to use: Crop a Dial Corner rounder, Paper cutters and the awl to poke holes in the paper for brads.
Other items for this card came from my stash. Like the Tim Holtz Distress ink – Picked Raspberry. Brutus Monroe Detail Ink – Raven was also used.
This year my challenge to myself is to use as much as I can of the stuff I have. Today I used some scraps of black paper and red brads. Every little bit that gets used makes a difference.
Do you make challenges for yourself when you are creating art? Consider doing so in the future, it will make you think creatively, and use up some of that growing stash you may have.
A video was made to show you all the steps on how this card was made. It was fun to think creatively and make Art with Heart. I hope it inspires you to create Art with Heart this National Inspire your Heart with Art January 31st.
Thanks for stopping by the blog.
