Today I’m sharing a Cricut Beautiful Shaker Card for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog Challenge # 295 Sequins or other Embellishments. Sponsored by SpieglMom. Projects are to have at least one Cricut cut and Sequins or other embellishments.

For my project, I decided to make a shaker card using the Yellow Frame from the Stand & Salute Cartridge.

Cricut Beautiful Shaker Card

Cut pink texture card stock at 3.25 in wide. Use the cut image to then cut a window out of a piece of fun foam. Cut a piece of white cardstock the same size as the top, this will be the back.

I find that cutting a back the same size as the front makes putting a shaker card together much easier.

White card stock cut at 4 in x 5.25 was used for the background. The Tim Holtz stencil and Texture paste was used. Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist colors: Party Pin and Cranberry Zing colored the background. Rouge Chalk in from Brutus Monroe was used around the edges of the A2 Greeting card.

On the back piece of the shaker card stamp the Botanical Background stamp from Brutus Monroe with Embossing Ink. Then spray with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists: Party Pink and Turquoise Blue.

Stamp the Botanical Background stamp on the pink shaker card front with Rouge Chalk ink from Brutus Monroe.

On a scrap of white card stock stamp the word Beautiful from the Beautiful stamp set from Brutus Monroe with Embossing ink, emboss with black powder. Use distress blending tool to add Rouge chalk ink to the edge after trimming down and rounding the corners of this piece.

Assemble the shaker card by attaching the fun foam to the Botanical background. Fill shaker card with sequins, butterfly sequins, and hole-less beads. Place shaker card top with acetate over fun foam.

Add 3D dots to the back of Beautiful sentiment and attach to lower right corner of the card.

What are your thoughts on this Cricut Beautiful Shaker Card? I love how a shaker card makes me feel. It is like a grown up toy. Have fun making one yourself.
