I’ve made another Junk Journal. This Handmade Natures Glory Junk Journal features the digital journal kit from Calico Collage: Natures Glory. It is a beautiful digital kit with lots of flowers, butterflies, and moths.

This Handmade Natures Glory Junk Journal measures 5.5 in. x 7.25 in. with a 1.25 in. spine. There are three signatures with 7 to 8 pages in each.  This will make about 84 pages in the journal.

For this kit I decided to print the pages and then on the backside print lines for journaling. This way I could trim the pages down to the image area and then fold, boom instant page.

So that I would have enough pages in the journal I used several scrapbook papers. These were twelve by twelve inch papers that I trimmed down to eight and a half by eleven inch. Then I printed journal lines on the backside of these pages.

Once I had all the papers on my work table I then started using a border punch on the edges of some of the papers. I love the beautiful look this gives the pages.

Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists are a beautiful way to add color to white pages. I’m not one that really likes the tea dye color for a whole page and for a whole journal. But using the Glimmer Mists gives beautiful color hues that blend well with this journal kit. And the added shimmer on the pages just makes you want to pet the paper.

Digging through my stamp stash I found some butterfly, flowers and a swirl stamp to use on some of the pages. Tim Holtz Distressed Inks were used as those had a light hue so that journaling could still be done over the stamping.

There are several pockets that I made throughout this journal. Some were from a random book in my stash. Others were from a dictionary that I picked up at a thrift store. If you ever feel like you can’t destroy a book check out the thrift store for books. Usually, these are very old and no one is going to collect these. Thus great books to pull apart for junk journals.

Recently I picked up a butterfly die and it is a great solid die. These were cut out of a gold yellow paper and placed in several of the pockets.
