Video Tutorial for the Happy New Year Junk Journal Page.
This Happy New Year Junk Journal Page is super easy to create. Using a 12 x 12 sheet of scrapbook paper that has a light color or print that goes with your theme is helpful.
Using the Fiskars paper trimmer and a stylis score at the 8-inch mark down one side. Rotate the paper and score at 10.5 inches. Fold up the 4 inches at the bottom. Next, fold over the 1.5-inch flap to the smooth side of the paper. On the flap turn the corner of the lower flap down to give a finished edge. Fold the page in half with the 4-inch pocket at the bottom and now on the front of the page.
Now that the page has been folded you can now see where to decorate with stamps and the stencil. Once the page has been stamped and sprayed let it dry for a moment and then added lace to the flap and the pocket. I use a glue stick to hold the lace in place and then sew the lace on my sewing machine.
Adhere the flap and pocket to the page with the Best Glue Ever and set aside.
Assemble the words and numbers, add the rhinestones with the Best Glue Ever and Embellie Jellie. Adding flatback rhinestones to the project was so easy using ScraPerfects, Best Glue Ever and Embellie Gellie.
Attach the words and 2018 to the page with the Best Glue Ever. Then add the journal cards and tuck spot.
Making one of these junk journal pages is so much easier than trying to plan a whole journal at one time. I find that if I think about one page (it actually creates four pages when added to a journal) it is much easier for me.
When you are out looking at paper take a look at the die cut sheets. there might be one that would make a great stencil to use with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists.
