In this installment, Monochrome Junk Journal Pages Part 3. Linda shows us how easy it is transform a book page into a journal page.
Linda will teach you how to create a black border using a marker, create fun tuck spots and much more!
Using a black marker and ruler it is easy to create a border around the edges of a journal card or any image you want to stand out in your junk journals. Lining up the edge of your ruler to the width you want you border on your element, take your black marker and run it down the edge of the ruler!
Stamping with various rubber stamps to create a back ground, or an element, Linda shows how she used the Bird Collage Stamp for the background on the book page, journal cards and other images using the Flying Friends Cube, Damask Bird Cube, Bird House Cube, and Bird Life Stamp.
Create a multi layer pocket with a book page, adding washi tape that will separate the pocket layers with Roses Faux Postage images by Calico Collage, a stitches stamp, fabric scraps and Black Soot distress ink to tuck your journal cards inside.
Using up your fabric scraps, add a tab to your journal cards by either stitching or gluing the pieces down. A great tip is to use a brayer to press a clean image when you are using larger stamps!
