Today I’m sharing How to make a Simple Pretty Mother’s Day Card using the scraps left over from the How to Make a Shabby Chic Mother’s Day Greeting Card. Don’t you like to have all of the scraps used up when you are done with projects? I sure do! Hopefully, this will give you an idea of what to do with the scraps you might have left over when using the Calico Collage Mother’s Day Images.

Simple Pretty Mother's Day Card

When I finished the Shabby Chic Mother’s Day card I had pieces on my work table and I thought  I should be able to make another card quickly with those pieces. It took about ten minutes to make this card

Calico Collage Mother’s Day Images
Tim Holtz Distress ink: Picked Raspberry
Ranger Blending Tool
2 White paper doilies
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – Vintage Pink
Brutus Monroe Craft Glue
Stick On Pearls
Pink Organza Ribbon
Floral Scrapbook paper

Digging around in my paper stash. It is a very large paper stash to choose from. I found a 12 in. x 12 in. floral scrapbook sheet that matched the flowers in the sentiment strip from the Calico Collage Mother’s Day Images. This was cut down to fit the front of a 5 in. x 7 in. greeting card. One of the pieces that were left over was used on the inside.

Tim Holtz Distress ink: Picked Raspberry was used to add a bit of color around the sentiment that will be used on the front of the card and the inside of the card.

There was a bit of a doily on my desk from another project that I had cut part of it up that was perfect to add just a bit of lace to the card. This was added to the back of the strip.

The sentiment on the inside was layered with a full round lace doily over the scrap of floral scrapbook paper on the top portion of the card.

On the front, the scrapbook paper was adhered using the Brutus Monroe Craft Glue. Then adhere the sentiment and place Stick On Pearls on the doily. Adding a soft Pink Organza Ribbon bow just adds to the simplicity and elegance of this card.

Last spray a little Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – Vintage Pink on the front of the card.

This is a very simple card, but it is so pretty that any mother would love getting it this Simple Pretty Mother’s Day Card.
