Day 13 of #junkjournaljuly and I made a Rejoice Travelers Notebook Junk Journal. This could also be a prayer journal. This one I decided to use red throughout. I pulled all kinds of scraps from my stash to make the elements in the journal.
The Journal Measures 8.25 tall by 4.25 wide and has 15 sheets of paper to make 60 pages. It has four mini journals that have three sheets of paper or 12 pages.
Some of the things that I used in this journal range from scrapbook paper, map, coloring book page, old bible pages, graph paper, notebook paper, mop up sheets of paper and more. I also got to use a lot of my tools, like a cool ticket punch by Little B.
I also got to use a lot of my tools, like a cool ticket punch by Little B. Using my sewing machine lets me add texture and interest to the journal too. Once washi tape wasn’t something that I used. I was annoyed that it didn’t always stick where I wanted it to stick. The newer styles stick a lot better.
My stash of ribbon is finally getting more use as I’ve found that I like sewing it onto elements. I think it adds just a touch more to the project and now I can’t stop using ribbon in my junk journals.
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists is one of my favorite products to use and I love how it looks in this Rejoice Travelers Notebook Junk Journal.
Another feature of this journal is the four mini journals I made using scraps of paper. I fold these in half and sewed with my sewing machine. I love how cute these turned out to be.

As I said, in the beginning, this is day 13 of my personal challenge to make a junk journal every day in July. I’m still on track and have made a journal or even two every day so far. My hope is that I have inspired you to create. It doesn’t matter what, but create something every day.
I have tutorials that show how a Travelers Notebook is made, feel free to follow me on YouTube.
It’s been so much fun that I created a Facebook Group. You are also welcome to join the Friendly Junk Journal People. It is a small group at the moment, but it is growing and we would love to have you with us.
