One of my friends requested that I share some prayer junk journals. So today I’m sharing four Vanity Flair Prayer Junk Journals. These were made using the Calico Collage digital journal kit Vanity Flair and Bible Verse Dominos.
Each journal has 14 sheets of paper folded in half for a total of 56 pages. Lots of space to write throughout the journals.
Here is a flip through video of the Vanity Flair Prayer Junk Journals.
It started out I was going to make one of these Vanity Flair Junk Journals. But my printer decided to act up and when it did it repeated the print job and I ended up with almost three of each page! So I went ahead and printed another set so I could make four journals.
Black Embossing Powder was used with Versamark ink for the title of each book. A Heat Embossing tool to is needed to set the embossing powder.
Sometimes you just go with those errors and make something with what happened. In my case, I made more journals. lol
The covers of the Vanity Flair Prayer Junk Journals are a combination of Watercolor paper and the image from the Calico Collage digital kit. Picked Raspberry Distress ink was used around the edge of the watercolor paper. Then the digital image was glued in place. Used my sewing machine with a zigzag stitch around the edge.
Adding sewing to paper is something I really enjoy doing. If you have questions about how it will affect your sewing machine check out my blog post How to sew on Junk Journal here.
Did you know that when you purchase a digital item from Calico Collage you are allowed to change the size of the image? I have the Bible Verse Dominos and loved the images, but wanted them bigger. I cropped the .jpg image down to show six images. Then I told my printer to print this new image of six dominos at full size. Doing this created journal cards for this set of Vanity Flair Prayer Junk Journals.
Be creative in the items you add to a junk journal. There is no wrong way to create one!

My hope is that I have inspired you to look at those papers in your stash and make your own junk journal.
