Hello friends. today I’m sharing a custom junk journal I made for one of my fans. Purple Among the Stars Junk Journal uses lots of purples. The digital images – Among the Stars from Calico Collage were used in this junk journal. But I altered these with a scan of a paper I created to give the pages a darker purple and to tone down the pinks. I love how it turned out!

When I saw the purple fabric that was used for the cover I just knew I found the perfect piece. Since she said she loved purple, black and stars it was easy to pull items from my stash and get to work.

I even made three pages out of canvas from Canvas Corp Brands. These pages were sprayed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Fully Purple using a stencil I made on my Cricut Explore Air. Then I added a fabric and lace pocket and more fabric and beaded trim to finish out the page. It is so pretty.

It was fun to do a little mixed media inside this Purple Among the Stars Junk Journal. Used some old street maps for Oklahoma City and covered those with purple paints. I love being able to alter the color of paper.

Using my Cricut Explore Air I made two different star stencils. One was what I call a waterfall of stars the other is an all over star pattern. Fully Purple Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist was the main one I used for this Purple Among the Stars Junk Journal.

Take a look at those supplies you have, it could be that spraying with something like Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists will take something blah to wow. In this journal, I was able to alter the color of paper, canvas, and even eyelash yarn.
