Hello and welcome to my blog today. I’ve been busy working on a set of 5 junk journals. This time I decided that the theme would be One Fine Day Prayer Journal. Using Calico Collage’s Digital Journal Kit – One Fine Day, stamps, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists, Stencils, Pages out of an old Bible, Napkins, Lace, Trims, Fabric and my sewing machine.

Flip through video One Fine Day Prayer Journal.

There are ten sheets of paper folded to make 40 pages for this 5.5 x 8.5 inch journal. While I used the same digital images from Calico Collage to make 5 One Fine Day Prayer Journals, each one is similar but slightly different.

Supplies Used for the One Fine Day Prayer Journal.

When I got started making the One Fine Day Prayer Journal I thought I would make one. But then I got carried away when printing and ended up printing enough to make five journals. These are listed in my store.

One Fine Day Prayer JournalUsing lace, trims, and fabric from my stash was a lot of fun. Love how the stitching looks on the elements and pages.

Tattered Angles Glimmer Mists was used on almost all of the pages in the One Fine Day Prayer Journal.

Being able to use stamps is a lot of fun for me. Since I have so many stamps in my collection it feels good to get them out and use them in projects like this for the One Fine Day Prayer Journal.

On the video, I said dictionary pages were used, but it was pages from an old family bible that I found at a thrift store. The bible had been damaged and written upon. I thought it was perfect to use for pages and elements for the One Fine Day Prayer Journal.

Folding a page from a bible I created a pocket that has four tuck spots.

It is hard to see the glitter on the pages and elements, but it is so beautiful in person.

The tie for the One Fine Day Prayer Journal is a scrap of fabric cut at one inch wide and long enough to wrap around the journal sewn to the back cover.

One Fine Day Prayer JournalThere is a great satisfaction of accomplishment when I finish a junk journal. I love flipping through the finished junk journal, looking at the pages, feeling the textures. What is your favorite thing to do with a junk journal?
