During the tutorial, Linda created a mixed media junk journal page by using her gel prints with various rubber stamped images and then paired them with torn book pages to make a fun mixed media page.
Try to layer your journal cards with stamped images like the White Glider and Bird Lovers Rubber Stamps, book pages, old sewing thread and inspirational words. Also, think about stamping the edges of your journal cards and edges to your junk journal page. Here you can see that Linda used the Textured Edges rubber stamp set.
You can use The Tulip Dimensional glitter paint, it adds a pretty sparkle to elements.
There are so many different ways to create a mixed media junk journal page. Think about ripping the paper then distressing the edges to define them, Remember there are no rules, it is your page and you can do what you want!
Use your rubber stamps to create different elements. Here you can see that Linda used the Garden Rose stamp painted with tattered angels glimmer mists. To save time, stamp several images on one page and make copies for you to use in future projects.
It’s fun and easy to create a mixed media junk journal page. Try an easy pocket by layering book pages that you have torn and stamp images with inspirational words.
