I’m really on a roll when it comes to Junk Journals. Today I’m sharing Two Sweet Elegance Junk Journals that I made using Calico Collage Sweet Elegance Digital Journal Kit.Two Sweet Elegance Junk Journals

In my stash, I have a large supply of really nice heavy handmade watercolor paper that is cut to about 6.5 in. x 12 in. These are nice and heavy perfect for a small Junk Journal Cover. I cut the paper to be 6.25 in. x 10.5 inches and used one of the journal pages on this to be the outside cover.

Inside the journals, I used all kinds of scrapbook paper, left over paper, lined notebook paper, graph paper and more. Many of the pages were sprayed with various colors of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists.

What has really been the most fun was using the scraps and leftover pieces from other projects as elements in these Two Sweet Elegance Junk Journals. Sometimes when I stamp something to test the image or just thought I was going to make a card or something, but there was something not right. So I put it into a file folder to deal with later. These have been perfect for journal cards inside the junk journals.

The journals have one signature of 10 sheets of paper for a total of 40 pages.

What may have been considered trash is now a treasure for junk journals. I’ve had some papers for almost 20 years that finally got used in a junk journal.

These papers are fun to die cut into various shapes. I’m getting my monies worth out of my Tim Holtz Vagabond and the dies I’ve picked up lately.

Now I look at dies differently. Can this be used as a journal spot? Could this be used as a tuck spot? I’m also looking at the scraps of paper differently. Is it large enough to make a mini card inside the junk journal?

I even saved the strips of coloring book page to be tuck spots on another page in this junk journal session.

What I really love about junk journals there is no wrong way to make these. Whatever you like and enjoy can be put into a junk journal.

Here is a video talking about the Two Sweet Elegance Junk Journals I made.

These Two Sweet Elegance Junk Journals were a lot of fun to make, and I’ll be making more of these.
